This book provides a good introduction to driving in Europe. It does not go into details about any single country. Rather it speaks in general about all European countries. That is not bad especially since the road signs, roads, and traffic rules are very similar on the mainland.
I was glad I read the book before my last trip to France and Germany. In fact some road signs are quite different from the US signs. Take the curvy arrow on the blue background. We don’t have this sign in the US. In Europe it means you must turn in the direction of the arrow…(who would guess?)…and they use this sign a lot in their cities.
The phrasebook goes beyond driving and includes some 10 to 15 languages. It makes a great compliment to the book and makes the purchase well worth the price.
